About Drimadoon Art

Drimadoon Art is a forum for new and upcoming artists to showcase their work. We are delighted to showcase the work of David McLoughlin as we launch our website. Our hope is to support/showcase more artists as we grow and develop. 

ABOUT DAVID

David McLoughlin is an artist, illustrator and animator based in Galway. He holds an honours degree in Animation and Motion Design from Limerick School of Art and Design where he won an award for ‘Best use of traditional 2D animation ’in 2018.

David is constantly sketching people and places around him. Using these references, he creates landscapes and life drawings which combine both traditional and digital mediums. He has exhibited in Galway city and the Courthouse Gallery, Ennistymon Co. Clare over the past year and his work has been purchased in Ireland as well as Europe, US and the Middle East.

When not feverishly working in his studio you’ll find him catching waves with his springer spaniel- Izzy- his loyal side-kick.
